MYF is a great night to come and have a lot of fun, while also learning about God. MYF is for all 7th-12th grade students, and it’s a great night to bring a friend! MYF includes games, worship, a message, and small groups. Sundays are a great night to invite your friends, make new friends, and grow in your relationship with God. Invite a friend, and join us at MYF!

Wednesday nights are a time for fellowship, games, and a more in-depth Bible study. We split into two groups for MidWeek — Junior High (7th-9th grades) and Senior High (10th-12th grades). Bring a friend, and join us each Wednesday night as we dive deeper into what God is doing in and through our lives.

MidWeek includes a game, a lesson, and a group discussion. Wednesday nights are aimed at making the Bible more accessible to our students’ minds. MidWeek provides a great environment for students to begin to ask deeper questions about their faith and how they can live out their faith during the week.

All YAC students (7th-12th graders) will start in the Youth Center. Jr. High MidWeek will then move to room M-118, and Sr. High MidWeek will stay in the Youth Center. Grab a friend, and come hang out on Wednesday nights!

Junior High students meet on Tuesday mornings at 7am for Breakfast Club! This is a time of fellowship for students to gather together before going into the busy school day. We have a devotional and breakfast. Breakfast is Chick-fil-A biscuits! Bring $3 if you want a biscuit. And don’t forget to bring a friend!

Sr. High AM is an event for our 10th through 12th graders on Tuesday mornings! It’s a time to gather together and hang out before heading off for the school day. We eat breakfast together, and then there is a devotional. Bring money to buy your breakfast, and invite a friend to come with you!

Youth Sunday School is for all 7th-12th grade students! We meet in the Youth Center from 9:15-10:15 AM. We hope you’ll join us!

Take a break from your summer job, and join us at the lake! YAC Sr. High are welcomed to join us for a lake weekend full of fun, talks, and discussions. We will spend a weekend at Lake Martin from June 6-8, 2024. Our time will be spent on the lake during the day with sessions in the morning and evening. Meals will be provided. Spots are limited, so make sure you sign up ASAP!

The Sr. High Lake Trip is for students who will complete grades 10th-12th in the 2023-2024 school year!

Our Junior High students will be heading to the beach this summer for an incredible trip, and we are very excited about it! BigStuf is a camp in Panama City Beach, Florida, and it is awesome. Great messages. Great worship. Incredible location. We will be attending BigStuf from June 21-25, 2024. This trip has all that you need for a student to grow in their relationships with God and with each other. Spots are limited, so make sure you sign up ASAP!

The Jr. High BigStuf trip is for students who will complete grades 7th-9th in the 2023-2024 school year!

This summer our Junior High and Senior High students will have the amazing opportunity to participate in Mission Week! Our Mission Week will be here in Birmingham, and we will serve people & organizations right here in our own community. Too many times we sign up for mission opportunities in communities that we will never be a part of again. And while those experiences can be profound, we want to establish something that lasts longer than just a week.

Mission Week will be July 14-19, 2024. We will stay at UAB, and we are partnering with Urban Ministry. During the day, our students will work at different sites throughout the downtown Birmingham area. Before and after our work sessions, we will have incredible worship experiences that will engage our students through music, games, and a message.

Our hope is that this week will not only provide meaningful, substantive experiences this summer, but that we will also continue to cultivate those relationships & expand their worldview in the months to come. So sign your students up ASAP because we know that they will not want to miss out on this life-enriching experience!

Let’s get summer started with our first Wednesday Summer Getaway! For our first getaway, we’ll be going to the new Activate Birmingham! What’s Activate, you ask? Great question! Activate is a new gaming experience where they have several games rooms that are designed with interactive technology. Each room has different games & challenges that you can play. It’s awesome! So grab a friend & join us!

Who loves a good roller coaster? We know you do! We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, June 19th as we venture to Six Flags Over Georgia! It will be a day full of fun rides, park food, and some of your favorite people! Could there be a better way to spend a Wednesday?

We will meet at Canterbury at 8:00am on June 19th, and then we will take a charter bus to Atlanta, GA. We will be back to Canterbury around 8:00pm that night.

This getaway will be announced soon! Check back for updates on what we’ll be doing on Wednesday, July 24th! One thing we can assure you – it’s going to be a blast!

Current 10th-12th grade students, this getaway is for you! We’re going whitewater rafting! Woohoo! This is an overnight trip where we will leave mid-morning on Wednesday, July 31st and head to Tennessee. We’ll spend the night at the Whitewater Express camp, and then we’ll go whitewater rafting mid-morning on Thursday, August 1st. We’ll be back in Birmingham mid-afternoon on August 1st. Who doesn’t love a quick trip with all of your best pals? Plus you get to go speeding down a rapid river – what a bonus!

This trip is for students who will complete grades 10-12 in the 2023-2024 school year. Spots are limited, so sign up ASAP!

Let’s go back to Atlanta for our last Summer Getaway of Summer 2024! We couldn’t think of a better way to cap off a great summer than to go to a Braves game! Please note that this getaway is on a Thursday.

We’ll meet at Canterbury at 8:30am on Thursday, August 8th, and then we’ll head to Truist Park for their day game against the Brewers. The day will be filled with all things baseball, great park food, and the best people ever. What a way to spend the day!

Let’s celebrate our Seniors! 7th-12th graders and their families are invited to join us on Sunday, April 28th from 5:30-7:30pm as we celebrate our awesome Seniors! The event will be held in Canterbury Hall.

Seniors, please get all requested information to Elizabeth by April 17th. The event is free for families of Seniors.

7th-11th graders, the event is $10/person. Come show your support for all of our amazing Seniors!

We’re going on a journey together…to Talladega, Alabama!! The Journey Retreat is a weekend retreat for students in grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 school year. It is an incredible weekend full of amazing worship, great talks, meaningful experiences, and a whole lot of fun! It is a weekend that you do not want to miss. The Journey Retreat is also a great time to invite friends – the more the merrier! Journey is awesome, you’re awesome, so put the two together and it’s the perfect combination!
