This year we are running a pilot program of our own Summer Kids@Canterbury with the opportunity for your kids to enjoy a fun summer. You pick the weeks that work with your schedule!

Our camps are for Kindergarten through 5th graders and will be held from 9:00am -1:00pm Monday through Thursday, with an option for extended care from 1:00 – 4:00pm. Each week will help your child be a better Christian for this world and be led by a group of counselors who will get to know them throughout their time at our camps. Since we are running a pilot program this summer, we are limiting our enrollment to 30 kids for each camp.

At Camps@Canterbury our mission is to create a Christ-centered environment where children feel confident to participate, discover, and grow. Camps@Canterbury provides a weekly themed-based camp where children (completed Kindergarten through 5th grade) can explore a new topic each week.

Children may attend any number of weeks you choose! Whether you attend 1 week or all 7, your child will be in good care for the fun! Summer Camps will begin at 9:00 a.m. and wrap up at 1:00 p.m.


The Summer Camps extended care option is only for campers who have registered and paid for the weeks they attend. By purchasing the weekly extended care option, campers will have the opportunity to arrive at 9:00 a.m. and stay afterwards until 4:00 p.m. the cost of the extended care option is $40 per child, per week. The extended care additional times will be spent playing games, making crafts, and having fun outdoors. No electronic handheld devices will be allowed.


We ask that you provide a lunch, including a drink each day they attend. We will provide a snack with water to drink.


Campers should bring a backpack, extra set of clothes, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, any medication needed and a lunch with them. (Please label your child’s sunscreen bottle and our staff will have campers apply when needed.) We will provide a morning and afternoon snack but will not be serving lunch to Summer Campers. Please leave ALL cell phones, iPads, tablets, handheld devices, or any expensive items and those of great personal value at home. Please label all of your child’s belongings.


In order for Summer Camps to administer prescription medication and over the counter medication (including sunscreen) you must complete and sign a Medication Administration form available when you check your child in.
Please note:

  • This form is only valid for one week.

  • Prescription medication must be in its original container with pharmacy label including name of child to whom we are administering medication and the proper dosage.

  • Over the counter medications must be in the original container with the proper dosage on the label. If the label states that the medicine should not be taken for children under a certain age, a doctor’s note may need to be provided in order for Summer Camps to administer the medicine.

  • We will keep all medicine (with the exception of an Epi Pen) in a locked box.


At Canterbury, it is our intent that each child enjoys the activities planned in a safe and nurturing environment. Any camper conduct, either individually or in a group, that is intentionally disruptive to or designed to be disruptive to the normal operation of the camp program may result in being sent home early from camp. Such conduct includes but is not limited to the following: destruction of camp property, refusing to cooperate or intentionally being disrespectful with camp staff, ignoring or disobeying camp rules, physically or verbally harming others. For all behaviors mentioned above, parents will be contacted by the camp director and a behavior report will be written and sent home the day of occurrence. Please discuss this with your child before camp begins.


Summer Campers found to have lice or nits will be sent home for appropriate treatment. Furthermore, our policy requires that any child treated for lice must be nit-free to re-enter camp. Please help us by reminding your child not to share hats, combs, brushes or towels.


Payment Due - All balances for camps are to be paid through our camp registration before the first day of camp. If payments are not received in full by this date, your camper’s registration may be cancelled.

Refund Policy - we will provide a refund, minus the non-refundable registration fee of $35 per camp, per child if we receive a written notice two weeks prior to the registered camp(s). If illness occurs after the two week deadline, we must receive a written request for a refund accompanied by a doctor’s note stating that camp attendance is medically inadvisable. No refunds or reduction in fees is possible for those who arrive late, leave early, or attend only part of the weekly session.
