Pastor's Welcome

Welcome to Canterbury!

Now is an exciting time to be a part of our church, as we are celebrating our 150th year as a worshipping congregation. We would love for you to connect with us.

Here are some of the things that inspire us as a church body:

  • God loves each of us unconditionally and we want to connect you with our loving God.
  • Because our lives are interwoven with joy and sorrow, we need each other for support. We want to connect you with others with whom you can share whatever your struggles and your triumphs.
  • Our communities thrive when caring people meaningfully engage with the challenges and opportunities that accompany communities. We want to connect you in serving our community and the world with the love of Jesus Christ.

Canterbury has a variety of worship, learning, and service opportunities designed to accommodate the busy lives we all live, including a live stream of our worship services. We understand the challenges you face and we strive to be a church that is accessible to you whenever and however you need us.

We look forward to connecting with you soon!

Starting Point

Since Canterbury has so many great things going on, it can be hard to know where to start. If this is where you find yourself, Starting Point is a perfect next step. These gatherings will give you an overview of what makes Canterbury thrive and some of the ways you can find your place. You can find out more about the church, ask questions, and make a personal connection.

Dining Room

If you need help finding the the right spot, our Welcome Guides who are located at all of the main church entrances will be glad to show you the way. Starting Point sessions will also be offered on the following Sundays during the Sunday School hour: October 7th, and November 4th.

We are now offering a new path to church membership throughout the year called Next Steps. The Next Steps class is a basic introduction to our church family and a wonderful time for you to continue building connections with other followers of Christ. Since many of us come from different church backgrounds, this class is designed to clearly explain who we are, what we believe, and how you can take the next steps in partnering with us to build the Kingdom of God.

Wesley Hall

After attending one of these sessions, it is our hope that you will decide to make Canterbury your new church home. Lunch will be provided.
