Diana Butler Bass is the author of many best selling books including her most recent: Grounded: Finding God in the World- A Spiritual Revolution. She will be at Canterbury for her Fall Lecture Session beginning on Saturday, November 4th. Bass will also be here during the Sunday School hour on Sunday, November 5.

If you wanted to participate in the Annual Day of Service, you can still serve in the big sweet potato drop (weather permitting) on Wednesday, October 11th from 5-7 PM in the Canterbury lot! This is an easy service opportunity for children and adults alike!

Our annual Day of Service will be Sunday, October 8th. Service and outreach have always been a pillar of Canterbury’s foundation. We’ll honor that mission by gathering together to be the hands and feet of Jesus during our Annual Day of Service in the Avondale community.
Outreach is hosting an Opportunities Fair in Canterbury Hall from 9 AM-12 PM on October 1st. Tables with information and sign up options will be filled from outreach ministries as well as different church ministries. Also, join us as we pack a flood bucket or two!
Our keynote speaker, Sophie Hudson, is the originator of the blog, BooMama.net. In addition to her blog, Sophie speaks regularly to groups across the country, co-hosts The Big Boo Cast, contributes to the Pioneer Woman’s blog, and serves as co-emcee for LifeWay’s dotMOM event. Sophie is a funny & entertaining Southern writer and speaker who lives in Birmingham. She hopes that through her stories, women find encouragement and hope in the every day, joy-filled moments of life.
