The student ministry of Canterbury United Methodist Church inspires,
teaches, and challenges youth in an accepting, fun environment,
equipping them to become lifelong disciples of Christ through serving
others, sharing God’s love, and seeking God’s way with thankful hearts.

Our ministry reaches students in three areas:
Junior High (7th - 9th grades)
Senior High (10th - 12th grades)
College Age (18-20 something)

Values of our Student Ministry:

Christ-Centered: We seek to be guided by the power and pattern of Jesus in everything we do (John 15:5).

Spirit-Led: We strive to be free of our own agendas and to listen for the promptings of God’s Spirit (Psalm 143:10).

Love and Acceptance: We accept and care for each person we encounter, knowing that God is at work in every individual (Romans 15:7).

Service: We serve joyfully, demonstrating the compassion of Christ to all (Matthew 25:40).
.
Community: We belong to a fellowship of believers where we are known by name and where strangers become friends (Acts 2:42).

Passion: We pursue our faith with the eagerness of those who love God with all our hearts (Deuteronomy 6:5).

Fun: We open ourselves to the gifts of joy, play and laughter (Nehemiah 8:10).

Grace: We seek to approach all situations with humility and forgiveness, just as we have been forgiven by God (Matthew 6:14).

Thankfulness: Regardless of our personal circumstances, we view life as a gift and give thanks to God for His blessings (I Thessalonians 5:18).

Stewardship: We value the sharing of time, talents, gifts and service in the church and the world (Matthew 25:14).
