On my first visit, where do I go?
The Visitor Information Center is located inside the double doors (under the porte-cochere) to the right of the children’s playground. You also will find greeters at all entrances on Sunday morning. They can assist you in finding your way around the church.
How can I learn more about Canterbury and the ministries offered?
You will find a lot of helpful information here on our website: www.canterburyumc.org. The Visitor Information Center also has information about the different ministries. Or you can call the church at 871-4695 and ask for Susan Bellows, Director of Welcoming Ministries. The church also offers Gateways, a class for those interested in joining Canterbury. In this class, ministers, staff and lay people talk about the ministry opportunities available.

What are the office hours of the church?
Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
If I visit on a Sunday, what should I wear?
Many of our church members enjoy wearing their “Sunday best,” especially in our Traditional Worship Service in the Sanctuary. Others prefer more “business casual” attire, as seen in our Contemporary Worship Services in Canterbury Hall.
What are the Adult Sunday School options?
Canterbury offers a wide variety of Sunday School classes for adults of all ages and stages. What is offered on Wednesday nights at the church?
There are numerous offerings in our Wednesday night AWEstruck program, including small group Bible studies, choir rehearsals, children’s programs, and youth activities. How can I stay informed of events and activities at the church?
The church sends out a weekly update through e-mail. This publication is called The Canterbury Express. It is also available in church services on Sunday morning. If you would like to receive the Express by e-mail, contact Laura Dabbs at laura.dabbs@canterburyumc.org.
