Prayer Requests can be made here.
It is our first language, the language our hearts speak before our lips can form words. It is the conversation between spirit and Spirit as we invite God into the easy and tough places of our lives. It is the cry for help, the giving of thanks, the plea for others, the quiet pondering why, the growth of friendship with the Divine…and sometimes simple silence.
It is prayer.
Remembering your vow as you entered the United Methodist Church, take time each day to talk with God even when words fail.
The Prayer Ministry Team here at Canterbury spends time every weekday in prayer with the concerns and celebrations of our congregation and our community. Every month over 60 people give their time, energy and faithfulness to undergird the life of Canterburians and of Canterbury with intentional prayer. The Prayer Ministry at Canterbury enters into the life and living of those we know and even those don't know.
You are invited and encouraged to be a part of this ministry team. To be a team member, you will need to:
· commit to one hour per month in prayer in the Chapel
· commit to attend our quarterly team meetings
· commit to confidentially share in the concerns and celebrations of others.
Call the church office at 871-4695 to join this team, or email Fran Gatch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also participate in this ministry by sharing your concerns and celebrations with the team. All requests are held in strict confidence. You may convey your requests by using the using the Prayer Request cards in each of our worship services or by submitting a prayer online. You may leave a name or leave them anonymous.
Colossians 1:3-4 (NIV)
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints—
